Pride and prejudice

Allow me to share about one of my favorites-Pride and prejudice by Jane Austen. This story follows the ife of a woman in the 19th century going through various events in her 20s. It also focuses on her love-hate relationship which later, after clarifications brings them together.
But more than the romance, the pride and the prejudice, the one thing that I like the most is the apt portrayal of dealing with families and handling them whilst also protecting them from criticism. The point that families cannot be chosen is very explicit.
The social situations are also very relatable. Considering the age this novel was, Elizabeth (protagonist) was written as a very strong character and an even stronger will who didn't fret about being unmarried her own life but rather stuck with her principles of marrying for love.
